Sustainability
Better use of natural resources begins with knowing where they come from, how they are developed, and who is part of the work.
Material origin
Start with a source we can describe.
A plant-based dye route should begin with clear material information: what the resource is, where it is collected, and which details still need to be checked for a project.
We work with sourcing and production partners to connect this origin story to the practical requirements of textile development.

Resource use
Look for value beyond a single extraction.
We explore color routes using plant resources and agricultural by-products, including Yunnan coffee grounds and skins as well as fermented tea. Each resource needs its own assessment and development process.
We also look at how residual material might be used more fully. These are directions for exploration, not a claim of measured environmental savings.

People and place
Keep the people behind the material in view.
Material development connects fields, collection, production, and textile making. We want partners to see these relationships, not only the final color.
Working with local resources and textile partners can create opportunities for regional collaboration. The value of each project should be described through its actual participants and results.

Partner certifications
Certification belongs to its holder.
Some supply-chain partners hold GOTS certification. Whether it applies to a specific product or project must be checked against the partner's valid certificate and its scope. Green Cosmos does not present partner certification as its own.
