Provide the fiber composition, textile construction, and whether the project concerns yarn, fabric, or finished garments. Include known finishing treatments and send a representative sample when available. A color card is a starting reference; the intended material still needs its own trial.
Share a physical color reference if possible, alongside the desired visual effect and acceptable variation. Photographs help communicate direction, but screen appearance alone should not determine sample approval. Agree on how samples will be compared before making a decision.
State the trial quantity, estimated production quantity, and timing. Sampling helps identify a development direction; further trials and process review may be needed before production quantities and delivery dates can be confirmed.
Explain the intended use and any buyer testing requirements, including the applicable test methods and acceptance criteria. Review appearance and handle alongside the agreed tests. Fastness or production performance should be described using results for the specific material and process.
